Sitting Behind the 8 ball

I started to create a journal entry prior to August 28 which is when my hip mysteriously became ridden with nerve piercing pain.

This journal entry was about my progression through the first 2/3’s of the year of the snake. The write up was very positive, but as I attempted to write the entry through my hip pain and lack of sleep over the last 10-11 days, I was feeling as though my progress wasn’t as great as initially started writing and the journal entry was tipping towards negativity.

It’s crazy how thoughts of my job change, the people I work with and how “my expectations” not being met are so off from a couple weeks ago.

The physical and mental stress that I’ve been literally pushing myself through is most certainly impacting me, my gains, my perception and my ability to tolerate.

I’ve been off to say the least. My mind has been lead by my hormone imbalance; my cortisol levels being through the roof and tossing all balance out the window it has changed my calm to chaos.

This past nearly two weeks is once again a reminder of the power of our internal chemistry and its ability to flip your world upside down in a very short timeframe.

I finally have a physio assessment lined up for Monday, the therapist felt sorry for me and fit me in…other than this fit you in appointment I would have been waiting about a month before she could see me. Also have a massage lined up for Wednesday- only a 10 day wait😳. I also made an appointment with my doctor so that I could get a referral through our health care system, but the first phone call appointment availability is not until November 10th.

Anyway, just a quick update as I’ve rolled behind the 8 ball and my vision is currently a bit blurred.

I’ll return to my last writeup when my live flips back around.

  1. If the pain is nervy, it’s most likely either stemming from the lower lumbar, or from the SI joint. As a runner, my guess would be the SI, as most runners experience SI imbalances. In both cases, releasing the piriformis can help. Hope you get some answers, and relief soon.
Oh, also magnesium in a bis-glycinated form will help with both relaxation of the muscle and feeding nutrients to the inflamed nerves.

  2. It is hard when you already do the right things but the pain and suffering is still there.

I’ve been to so many professional and did so many different things to eliminate my back pain and my hip mobility and sometimes it seems like things do not work.

I hope you soon get your condition to at least a manageable level if not better!
