Purpose and Intention

“Time” “Honesty and Time” “Intention and Purpose”.jpeg

We are complicated creatures. Being driven by chemical compositions and hormones, which in turn are driven in large part by an endocrine system, further driven by gut microbiome (second brain…I say first brain),  further to that, nutrients or lack there of. At that level, we are all likely starting to understand a bit more clearly where we can immediately improve or determine where we may be going wrong with at least part of our mental or physical performance.

If it’s to ultimately hope for balanced hormone output for the ability to successfully prioritize and have the energy to get through the day…it might be our choice of fuel or lack there of.

A diet designed to nourish our gut microbiome (sometimes specific to one’s personal condition, acute or chronic conditions) can lead to altered microbial composition, diversity, and function, changes in hormone levels and improved energy levels. Hormones play a major part in our mental and physical capacities.

When one say’s "I no longer have time", while in the midst of a personal commitment to enlightenment and betterment. What do we think is occurring? Is that due to how we treat our underlying self, bringing on a lack of gumption; is it just the preconceived notion that I’ve never pushed this hard before and the brain puts up this block; as mentioned in previous blogs, lack of prioritization (this is super key). Why is prioritization so difficult for us humans? There could be many more impacting factors, lack of sleep, excessive stress (pretty broad term)...Again, what's the underlying symptom(s)?

My personal desire over the last 8-10 years or so has been to know the why? What’s the cause or influencer(s) of my symptoms? We all need to dig deep, hold ourselves accountable and find out what makes us tick..

When we really start to be “honest” with ourselves and incorporate the “time” with purpose and intention in our lives, things happen in continuum, with results that serve in a circular pattern. A circular pattern which continues to serve and becomes the constant without effort. The circular momentum will get distorted when the body/brain is mislead or stressed. This lack of guidance can occur through ingestion of something that is not serving your glands or organs, something inhaled, that again stresses glands or organs or the same for absorption through the skin or eyes. Ever think about all the toxin products that many people put on their skin…the skin is an organ. What the skin absorbs can enter the blood stream or lymph and circulate to others areas of the body. This is the tip of the iceberg…all we do, either has a positive or negative effect. Not to mention the compounding result of mental stress and that viscous cycle.

There are comments and differing perceptions on everything, some opinion and some factual. This is my opinion based off of where I've been and what I had to do to return. I believe it all starts with “crap in…crap out”. So, am I saying that one may verbalize they "don’t have time" based off of what they eat or how they treat themselves, 100% I am. I think this all can become very simple…we are all driven by our brain, right!? Got you again. My opinion and that of many others is , NO, I feel we are all driven by our gut and in simpler terms, by what we ingest, also what we inhale or absorb. If our gut microbiome is not healthy, how can we expect “mentally” to do extraordinary. We all have the ability and time to get this right…it’s not instant, but neither is mastery. It’s a journey!

What do we need to adequately function and grow mentally and physically? One might say, oxygen; H2O; a beating heart; sleep; love; protein; vegetables; someone to feed me…hahaha. There could be umpteen answers, but if the question was, what do we need to stay alive? The answers may be a bit more refined - oxygen, water, food…I have asked myself. "Darcy, do you just want to stay alive or do you want to grow, excel and be more than you were yesterday?" I chose the latter. Do I lighten up occasionally and have some chips or some ju-jubes? Yes, but often those moments are still with some intentionally. Chips (fast acting carb/sodium) and Ju-jubes (glucose) are some excellent fuel when running up a mountain. Considering timing and quantity; what I mean here is we need to understand the consequences (good or bad) of what we are subjecting our bodies to when. The nuts and bolts of this odd paragraph, is again to emphasize that ones success can be determined by the want and cruciality to know.

The reality is, there are many facets to achieving this circular continuum, but I feel the first directive is the gut microbiome. Without the correct fuel to allow the mind to function at its optimum level and reduce all and any form of stress, all output will be diminished. Perception is an act of the mind. With a loss of perception, prioritization is difficult and will be skewed. Again my point is once we dig deep, holding ourselves accountable for our shortcomings the truth will prevail. When challenging oneself, enlightenment should occur, learning to follow the concept of Mastery and the yearning to achieve this, will commence with determination, passion and consistency in many aspects of your being. Learn you...

  1. Sometimes staying alive is an accomplishment for itself. Obviously it can’t be out go to choice. But for some people it’s ok (sometimes?) based on their situation.
