Trying to Achieve Balance and Consistency in Life
Our trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at the end of November was great. The weather was in the thirties, we got a lot of D and spent a fair bit of time in the pool. What was super special about the trip was that Alana and I got to spend this holiday with one of our sons, our daughter in law and our 7 month old grandson.
While in the pool I worked on a lot of hip mobility exercises. To make sure I didn’t reduce the progress I’ve made on my hips from my physio, I also brought my foam roller and lacrosse ball. After the 5 hour flights in Econo seating…I thought this might throw my progress out the window and seize my hips. Pleasantly surprised my body handled the being demobilized very well.
Outside of all of that the trip to Mexico opened my eyes as to how fortunate we are in Canada as well. I know we all get accustomed to weather and humidity in our home lands, but returning to our climate, other than the cold of winter, was refreshing. I just felt like my breathing was better. I think our air is refreshing, maybe higher oxygen content, it seems to give me more drive than the high humidity air.
Still very grateful for the opportunity of this getaway and don’t regret going at all, but our next trip might be more local…maybe a resort in the Canadian Rockies; a trip which all our family can be a part of.
